During the period of soliciting opinions, a total of 2597 opinions were received from food enterprises, relevant social organizations and citizens. After sorting out the opinions collected, SAMR adopted 707 opinions.
According to the opinions adopted, three aspects of reasonable amendments were made.
1: Marking requirements such as the characters used in the labelling, imported food marking, storage conditions, product standard codes, production license numbers, warning marking and warning words were further supplemented.
2: The requirements for the management of food names, ingredient lists, food additives, production dates and shelf-life dates were further refined.
3: The special requirements for special food labelling and the labelling requirements for edible agricultural products were further standardized.
The main reasons of the unaccepted opinions were that the legislative intent of food labelling was not fully understood, emphasizing the implementation issues and product introductions of certain enterprises and so on.
